We made it back home Tuesday night after two very long days of driving.  Gavin did very well on the car ride home and we just had to stop every couple hours for diaper changes and feeding.  Chanin’s mom flew up to Idaho for the babie’s birth and was a big help on the way home.

Today, for Thanksgiving, Chanin’s mom is here cooking up a turkey, stuffing, etc.  We’ll have pictures later.  Oh yeah and she make a couple of pumpkin pies last night.  Mmmmmm…..  Chanin is helping as well and I’ll probably make some cranberry sauce later.

Waiting for baby…

So, we’re here in the waiting room at St. Luke’s hospital in Boise, Idaho.  Baby will be here anytime now!  The estimate is that he’ll be here sometime between 30 minutes and 3 hours from now.

And here’s a quick picture of us taken a few minutes ago.  And actually right now we’re in the room where the little dude will be born shortly.

Welcome to the our new website!

Since we’re about to add a little one to our family we decided to create a family website.  From this time on we’ll only be posting on this site.  Eventually, our other sites (jamesandchanin.com and jamesandchaninplus1.com) will go away.

The name for the site originally came from our buddy Tim when he joked with me about Los Carrs.  We like the name and feel that it represents us well.  Those of you who know us probably know that Chanin and I are both half “hispanic” and half “white” so the name just makes sense!

We’ll be posting about our usual topics (food, family, etc.) as well as a lot of new posts about our baby.

I took the liberty of subscribing the family members who were subscribed to our old sites so you should be getting an email about this new post.  If you’re not getting email notifications and you’d like to subscribe (or unsubscribe) you can do so over there on the right.  Also, you may notice the old comments missing and/or a few broken links.  If so, sorry about that!  I didn’t feel like migrating everything else over!
